I want to make it clear to everyone that I would like to express my thoughts on the animated inserts from Final Fantasy XIII.
Here's a short synopsis to get you up to speed:
The game's plot revolves around the Fal'Si, a race that existed before humanity even existed. People marked by the Fal'Cie for a higher purpose were called l'Cie. About thirteen centuries ago, a mystical Crystal commanded the fel'Cie to create a paradise for humans. A shell-shaped city called Cocoon was built, and to this day it hovers in the air above the surface of the world of Pulse, where afterwards there was a Crystal of its own. The Crystal of Cocoon created life and machines for its inhabitants, and the people began to prosper. As time passed, the people of Cocoon began to fear for their world, afraid that it might fall from the sky. Nowadays, the depths of Pulse are negatively affecting the people and the Holy Government of Cocoon has decided to isolate all people who fall under this influence. A woman with the code name Lightning has become the chosen one of Krystal, who will become the enemy of humanity and put an end to Cocoon.
The thing is very specific, many people will seem childish at once, but believe me the questions and situations in the game are very seriously put and there is a lot to think about.
I immediately noted that the game is really quite a huge audience made (although this is also a minus), that is, the diversity here is so much, that at least one of the heroes you just like. Mostly there is a vivid age effect, the heroes are for very young girls, for teenagers and for adult audiences, and all of these points of view, that is, there is a war and we see the attitude to it. Children are scared and don't understand, teenagers rush to fight, adults defend the former and the latter.
So, comrades, I can authoritatively stated that the plot, universe and characters are prescribed here at a very high level, and the only thing that can discourage them - this is a preconceived notion of the Asian mentality, for their RPG unique presentation of the plot, and much more peculiar. Details abound, I will give simple examples. There's one of the male GG Snow has a cloak, and what do you think, if you look closely there on the back detailed wolf emblem, or here's a character, which well just a bunch of jewelry, earrings, pendants and other stuff (I understand that all this to highlight the character, but this is impossible to imagine in real life, which again emphasizes the fairy tale, the main Christmas tree of the country nervously smoking in a corner. In general, the plot here is of the genre "at first nothing is clear, but then the mosaic comes together". The narration often amazes with turns of plot. A spoiler alert!!! Only that the G.G. has slept a crowd of citizens and the next moment they already fall one by one into an abyss - rather uncharacteristically
The visuals are just unbelievably great. I remember one of the closest to CG graphics was in Resident Evil 4. Now you can appreciate the current level, well, it's very nice (necessarily at the highest resolution to look).
Music: good, and most importantly atmospheric (you can check it out in the trailer too). In necessary places it adds drive to a chase or gunfight or softens for a love scene. Humor is a little lacking - this is one of the main problems. Of course, there is one clearly expressed comic character, but it is obviously not enough.
The verdict: As a wholesome piece of work may exist, but I still advise to play the game straight and watch the clips. The main problem - is that the maximum you'll find sabes, and cut out of the game have already translated the video, albeit amateur, but directly from Japanese, without any corrupted phones.
